Gamepal gets accounts banned

Gamepal gets account banned

Update: I’m challenging Gamepal to prove they don’t get every account banned.  Checkout my Gamepal challenge to see if they accept.

I am an infrequent World of Warcraft player. I usually just play with my son when we have some free time in the evenings. But because he plays a lot more than I get the chance, I’m always lagging behind in levels. So when someone told me about a service through a company called Gamepal that will have someone else play your character when you’re not playing, that sounded great. For a few bucks I could have them play my character and catch up to my son’s level.

I hired the company to take my level 27 rouge to level 40. A small jump by the looks of most of their orders. I paid $49 for this service through Paypal.

I checked my account the next day, and I was already at level 30. That’s much better than I could have done. But on the following day I got a frantic call from my cousin, the person who refered me to Gamepal. He said I should cancel the service ASAP because his WoW account was just banned. So, when I returned home, I checked my account and saw that I was still active at level 34. I logged onto Gamepal’s chat system and canceled my account. I also quickly changed my password so they could no longer log in.

The next day I went to log in to play with my son, and sure enough I got the following message:

You World of Warcraft account has been closed.

I checked my email and saw this discouraging information

Offense: Use of Third Party Automation Software

This account has been found to have employed third party software
designed to automate many aspects of the World of Warcraft game play
experience. Such software runs contrary to the essence of World of Warcraft
and provides an advantage over other players. In addition, use of this
software can lead to exploitation and destabilization of the World of
Warcraft server economy. As such, this account has been closed and will
not be reopened under any circumstances. The recurring subscription on
the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.

Please review the World of Warcraft Terms of Use at

World of Warcraft to gain a competitive advantage over other players.

This means that not only did I not move up a few levels, but the entire character that I have had for 18 months is gone.

So, what do you think Gamepal’s stance is on this? I’m sure you can guess, I’m just SOL. Now when I go to the chat, I’m blown off by being told, “You should have read our terms and conditions before signing up.”

But before I signed up, I logged on to their chat and asked them if there was any chance I could get in trouble from Blizzard for this. There response was just that it was going to be someone who is very good at leveling playing my character, and that it was not a violation. But as it ends up, the violation I’m actually being banned for is that their player was using some sort of automated software to play the game. Which I guess explains how they can level up so quickly.

I did some further digging and discovered this post on RipOffReport.com:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff215985.htm

According to this gentleman, he purchased a ready made character account for $400, and less then a month later, the account was re-claimed by the owner. Once again Gamepal’s response to this was that he is SOL.

It seems Gamepal is good at taking money, they offer many ways to pay them through Google, Paypal, etc…, but not so good at following through on their promise to deliver the goods.

I have sent emails to them, which will obviously fall on deaf ears. So at this point all I can do is provide a cautionary tale to those who are considering using Gamepal. If you are considering making a purchase through them, be aware that everyone I have heard from, and seen from my research has been screwed by them. I cannot find any happy customers. And when they do take your money, Paypal really doesn’t offer my recourse in the situation. My advice, do not use the Gamepal service at all.

  1. I still have not been paid for gold I sold to Gamepal on 8/10/2007. That was 9 days ago. I filed a suit with the BBB (Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carloina) and to my suprise I found out that Gamepal has an unsatisfactory record with them currently. What a joke, I cant belive they are able to get away with the scamming people. It is imperative that people know what kind of business this is and to STAY AWAY from Gamepal.

  2. Ed,

Kristi is full of crap. They are using the same old tactics they always use. They use bots, they use poor chinese or philipinos from other countries, it never ends. You won’t get your refund, nobody does, the cycle never ends.

  3. My bro just got my account banned for buying gold an exploints and Im pretty sure when some one sees a 70 druids in all greens one day with a normal mount then the next day see the same person with full BoE epics and rare items with a epic flyer, I think that would my some player wonder.

  4. Hi there,

Seisem, you used to work for GamePal.com. That means you loose all creditability, and you didn’t quit, you were fired.

    A few things here.

If you are getting a power level, which is CLEARLY against the ToS of the game for you are getting the work done, it is indeed with full knowledge that this can get your account suspended/banned. It’s the risk you choose to take.

As to how things are run on a power leveling site.

Providing that your account was not perma-banned due to you having received an previous suspension, any company that provides this service should be issuing a full refund for a perma-banned account. A SUSPENDED account is another matter. It just means you don’t get access to the account for 72 hours. Which means you get the benefit of the levels achieved by the leveler once the suspension is over and you should only get a refund for the unfinished levels of the service you purchased. That sounds pretty fair.

As to accounts that are taken back by the initial seller, GamePal goes after that initial seller with every legal means at their disposal. Agreed, their response time on emails sucks. It doesn’t mean they aren’t working on the problem or don’t care.

Here are a few simple rules to help prevent your account from being suspended/banned during a power level:

    1. Don’t be stupid, make a secondary account. Don’t go get a power level done on your main account if it’s got lots of nifty things and high level characters. If you have the money to spend on a power level, then you should be able to afford a secondary account. Make sure it’s got the same LAST name, but not the same first. Make sure that it’s paid for with a time card and not your credit card.

    2. DON’T log into the account from 24 hours BEFORE you place a power leveling order until 24 hours AFTER the service is completed. This includes the WorldofWarcraft.com website portion of the account. If you do this it increases your chances of being suspended/banned by about 500%.

    3. If you can log onto a friend’s account, or another of YOUR accounts to monitor the service, if you see a bot being used, immediately contact your power leveler and cancel the service. BOTS BAD.

    4. Another don’t be an idiot. Make sure that you change the password of your account often. Also make sure that you change the password right before the power level and AFTER the power level. This maintains the security of your account.

No matter how many precautions that are taken or how much care is used, there is ALWAYS a chance of at minimum a suspension, at worst a perma-ban. ANY company that tells you that they don’t use Asian power levelers is lying. The fact of the matter is that the Asian’s have botted and lowered prices all around SO MUCH that getting the work done by people actually IN the USA is nearly impossible. I mean think about, are YOU going to take 70% of 150 for at MINIMUM 20 days of 12 hour days worth of work? I’m sure as heck not, my time is worth more than that. I’m sure you will notice that prices are raising. Once they reach reasonable levels, there WILL be more American’s willing to take on the power leveling, but in the meantime, realize that you pay for a service that is against the rules and you take risks. You can’t get mad because with a service who says to you “this is a risk, here is why” and you choose to do it and bang, the unthinkable happens and you loose years of time/love/energy invested in your account. That’s just not logical.

For those that say “oh, she works for GamePal, ignore her words.” Um, no, I don’t. I work for another power leveling company. The above listed information is simply common knowledge in power leveling circles. Seisem got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and word got around, nobody will rehire him. This is why GamePal is the focus of HIS angst.

For those that got messed over by GamePal? I would suggest that you email [email protected] and state your case. I know for a fact (because I’ve been in touch with one of the owners) that they will be happy to investigate and work to resolve the issue. I also happen to know that the power levelers that worked for GamePal that did bots on a regular basis were fired when the new manager took over. How do I know that? I asked.

I also know that pretty much EVERY one of the larger power leveling companies out there ALSO have some unhappy customers. Why? Because they are HUGE. Unlike my little company who’s small numbers allow me to keep my customers happy. If out of the, what, 200 customers a day that hit that website, about 5 a day have issues with their order, then think about it. That’s still a very small overall percentage.

    That’s MY 2 cents worth.

  6. For those who don’t know, I decided to offer Gamepal a chance to redeem themselves in public. I put together a little challenge for them to level up from 1 – 70 without getting banned. Their response was a big NO!. They did offer to do it if I was to pull down this post. But obviously since they didn’t really treat me very well, and haven’t treated most of you well, I’m not going to do that.

If you think about the fact that they had a chance to show us all how we’re all wrong by successfully leveling up a character, you can only come to one conclusion; Gamepal cannot level up without being banned. I fairly certain that if they could, they would here.

I should also mention that they did Paypal me $50 so that they could say they offered me a refund. But obviously they still got my account banned, and they have treated other people on this thread with a lot of disrespect.

I would love to hear what you all think about the fact they didn’t follow up on the challenge.

  7. I have a character that was pl’d by gamepal (1-60) warlock had it for a month or so now and have obviously since leveled it to 70 etc and am currently playing happily without any problems whatsoever infact it had decent rep for all pre tbc factions (which suggests questing rather than grinding) perhaps i was the lucky one

however i have had problems with another of my characters with a different power leveling company (thsale) i paid for a character to be leveled from 60-70(priest) whilst it was being leveled i obvioulsy used my lock top go watch the character that was being leveled and found it was being botted i took up this with thsale and asked them why they say they don’t use bots but are infact using them they obviously denied that they did

so i cancelled the service and changed my pw only to find that 2hr’s after i had changed the pw my account got suspended for 72 hrs

i had already paid gamepal to continue the leveling so contacted them and told them my dilema they were happy to refund me the money for the service i had paid for (must say they obvioulsy hadn’t started at this point)

so my experience with gamepal is a positive one (didnt read tis site beforehand so probably wouldn’t have used them due to the risk perceived ) but i believe if you use a pl service you do run the risk of getting your account suspended/banned and have decided from now on any characters that i will own will be leveled myself to limit the risk of losing my account

  8. From what i have read on gamepal, they dont seem to have a very good reputation! I decided on selling my WOW account, checked out gamepal who did however offer a good price for my account, but i decided to sell to accounts.net who offered what i was expecting to get for my account and they seem to have a good reputation and not seem dodgey. The end result for me was i successfully sold my account for a good price to accounts.net who paid me through paypal and i got cash to my account within 2 days!!! highly recommend them if you are selling accounts.

  9. I also made the fatal error of using gamepal. I had a lvl 60 character that had the full t2 gear and all the works and decided that at lvl 68, I didn’t have time to level it to 70 because of work and other commitments. Halfway through lvl 69, the account was banned.

But after enough hounding, I actually got my order refunded and then some and a new wow cd key and a burning crusade cd key (which didn’t work). But only was the refund in credit with their website. I got my 5000g for my flying mount and was very happy until that account got hijacked.

Just don’t do it. It isn’t worth the risk and I regret throwing away a fantastic character just because I wanted to be 70 along with my guild.

  10. […] But this company that supposedly are the experts failed miserably and in the end got my account banned from the game all together. You can see a more detailed review of Gamepal here. The best part is that they kept my money. Since they wouldn’t be reasonable, I decided to put my thoughts on my blog. And before too long, the company noticed. I rank on the first page for their name. I have heard from the company several times, and of course they have asked me to take the post down. Because just like Select Comfort lost my business because of the page mentioned above, Gamepal is losing business everyday because of my post. Their decision to take $50 from me has no doubt cost them thousands. […]

  11. Actually ACCOUNTS.NET had ALL of their accounts banned not too long ago. So be careful when using them. They use one single IP address so Blizzard simply bans that IP address in a mass banning. They almost went out of business b/c of it.

  12. i am a chinese who got many powerleveling orders in the before.i wanna tell u why ur accounr was easy to banned when gamepal leveling, gamepal dont have any powerleveling wokrers, they just send all the powerleveling orders to us and some other company like us.in the begining(about 1.5years ago)all the account was leveling good, and dont have any account to be banned, but some months later, some orders we cant got payment, gamepal told us that these order’s client just ask refund,we ask them why the client ask refund, they said dont know, they told us we wont got the payment about these refund order, some days later, like these refund order become more and more,so we dont wanna go on do their order, then they told us dont do that, they told us that we can use client farm gold or use bot,so that if one order was refund,we will got the gold we farm by bot, blizzard dont agree farm gold,so that ur account will be easy to banned.about 4 months ago ,we stoped got order from gamepal, because they owe us more than $20000 USD,as a middle company ,they always dont like pay the powerleveling payment.
now we become another site’s partner ,just a little account was banned, like these banned account,we always leveling a new character for free, and we use the US IP is this new site give us ,all of these US IP is free.the new site pay us enough payment,so we will do our best for them.all the thing i said is real,i dont wanna tell u whats the new site’s UL now we got orders from,i just tell u,gamepal is not good.

  13. Im am an ex-power leveler gamepal have a company in the philippines
and all power leveler is a good gamer.
But one time they said to us that they will remove some other player because of some technical issue, but when i see what is the problem the problem is not in the employee but it is in the company management they hired a hacker to make a (bot) or an automated software. Please dont trust anybody even me.

But if you need help in lvling i could hel you lvl in some way.
I could not power leveling anymore because i dont have any computer in my house and i am in a stable job already.

  14. I used to work at Gamepal when they still had an office in the Philippines. Gamepal owners Eric Smith and AJ Robey runs a website that SCAMS it’s customers. When you submit an account to gamepal that you want to sell, they would review the account and return it to you saying they are not interested with your account. And after a few days after returning your account, they will hack into your account and STEAL it! When you put in an order for powerleveling, they just use bots to level it and your account is also sent to china where the leveling is done. Since gamepal also scams the chinese levelers on their salaries, what the chinese levelers will do is steal the gold and other loot on the characters sell it. Also they use the accounts to farm for gold, this is when the account gets banned. Gamepal will NEVER refund your money even if they know it is their fault why the account got banned. What gamepal is doing to it’s customers is a cyber CRIME and should be reported to the proper authorities. They treat all their customer’s as SUCKERS, that is why they never answer emails that is sent to Eric Smith. Remember that gamepal will say all the nice things to you, but in the end, you will still end up as losers. Dealing with gamepal is the biggest mistake you will ever do in your life. They even short-change their own employee’s.

  15. I actually did work for GamePal USA before and I can say most of the things on this thread are just completely made up. I’m not sure why people are actually slamming gamepal on the above statements and making up things but most of it’s not true. Tony never worked for gamepal, I never even heard of a Tony before.

Power Leveling is done in the Philippines and in the US. Im under a NDA clause but nothing is sent to China as far as I know.

Believe what you want, but Im the only one with an email that still works [email protected]. Email it, test it out, you will see I was a valid employee.

  16. I have no idea why you people even use power leveling services or those websites, they are complete rip-offs. The cost of a power-leveled account is about the same as buying an okay account off of craigslist. I mean, on one hand you do have to worry about reposession… but with these services you typically have to worry about losing the account for a ban… so either way the later is most expensive even when lost.

For the most part, people who are selling their accounts genuinely just want to get rid of them and at LEAST there is a small claim against the individual versus a corporation based outside of the US. I know right now I’m trying to get rid of my account, but eBay is full of a bunch of lame asses and I’m forced to resort to methods I’m not used to. That aside, I think people need to just buy pre-made accounts for several reasons. 1) It’s typically cheaper or about the same price. 2) Less of a worry for banning. 3) Doesn’t artificially increase the number of “subscribers” for this game. 4) Has a quicker learning curve for the higher level because the more gear, the less skill required to play the game.

  17. Am a previous Gamepal employee Philippine based. And this one am gonna tell you. All client account scheduled for powerleveling are beiong handle by real gamers each gamer controls 3-4 accounts and uses a BOT (glider) this bot just kills all mob in a certein area it also drink and eats. What gamers do is just supervise the bots do there thing and Farm at the same time grind the level. At the end of the order all gold and other items that was gained thru leveling will be sold and the gold will be passed on to a Gold Manager toon. Gamepal abuses client order by not just asking money to there customer but also they use customers accounts to farm Gold. Philippines operation got shut down because its owner Eric Smith didn’t pay taxes and at the same time didn’t paid gamers salary. Hope this serves as a fair warning to gamers that wants to level fast in a dirty way. And just to add the reason why BLizzard ban most of Gamepals accounts is because of multiple IP users. From US based IP to Phil. bsed IP and then at weekends China based IP. Quick change in IP flags the account for multiple users and is prohibited on BLizzard user agreement. Thats one reason and also botting. I know this because i was a previous team leader for the said company.

  18. I know tony because he is my team leader here in the philippines “tony”
was just a nickname. gamepal is slave driving company because they actually told us the good performance PL’s to handle 6 accounts on 2 computers that just too hard good thing it did’nt happen and by the time gamepal close my fellow workers just took some of its computer hardware i heard its seven 1 GB ram and 2 video cards how i wish i got a hold of one of them.

  19. […] I seem to be a lighting rod of litigation lately.   The latest stems from our friends at Gamepal who don’t like the fact that I have shared my experiences with their service. As some of you might recall, I used their service for a World of Warcraft account to level up a character for me.   While they had control of the account, it was banned.   It could have been because they used bots, or maybe some sort of foreign IP detection, or whatever.   But the end result was that I was banned. […]

  20. That is really sad for those PHILIPPINE EMPLOYEES who posted comments here… they got fired and what else can they do?

Just start bashing the company who fired them…

    That is not a customer’s review…

That is just ex-employees who tries to damage their ex-employer’s companies…

and no wonder they are THIRD WORLD COUNTRY…

NOBODY WOULD WANT A CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE PHILIPPINES IF THIS THE TYPE OF EMPLOYEES THAT EVERY COMPANY WILL HAVE…

you just lowered your own country’s image even more…

if you are not a customer and do not have a customer experience… don’t even try to post any comment!

  21. […] A couple days ago we I got a comment here that Gamepal now owns Gamewar.com. I didn’t think much about it until “Margeret” posted a follow up comment directed at me denying the relationship. These comments came within a short time of me getting the Gamepal “cease and desist” email. I know Gamepal reads my blog, and I know the are pretty stupid, so I decided to investigate. […]

  22. I am NOT A RACIST…

If I sound like one… It is MAINLY BECAUSE THE PHILIPPINOS BEHAVIOR that makes me a RACIST…

I maybe too harsh to those people, but now I realized every employee who got fired do the same thing… Even us Americans can do the same thing to our own countrymen…

  23. Yes GamePal owns or is afflicated with gamewar.com

It’s very simple to find who a company is linked with or if they are the same company. Just check their inventory!

If they are selling the exact same accounts as another site they are the same company or linked. 🙂

  24. Hello,

I am one of the operations manager in the USA department customer service team. Sorry it took so long to get back with you as we do not actively view these reports.

Thank you guys for your replies. I want you all to know that we do try our best to make sure you get what you ordered. If you do believe that you are owed something, you can always contact support to have the issue resolved. Sure it can take long as problems don’t instantly get resolved, but we do our best to make sure that the issue does get resolved. If you can’t get ahold of support, keep trying because we will fix every issue that comes before us. JUST REMEMBER, WE ARE A USA BASED BUSINESS, AND WE WILL ALWAYS MAKE SURE ALL ORDERS ARE RESOLVED ACCORDINGLY. BEFORE YOU POST, PLEASE CONTACT OUR SUPPORT BECAUSE IT’S BETTER TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE THERE THEN SPAM HERE AS WE CANT CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY ON THESE BOARDS.

  25. Look up those companies as well in google, they all have fraud reports as well. No company has perfect reputation but we do our best to make sure you do get what you ordered. If the customers who did post here are still having issues, please contact our email support instead of posting a few hours after your order was placed.

We are the only company worldwide who can offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for a reason, and we will continue to hold that policy down even with the harsh game developers that continue to hammer incident customers as seen above. 75% of the games we do are done in the US or Australia now, you can even check the IP logs if needed.

We deeply apologize if we caused any frustration with your order as we try our best to help every customer. Mistakes can happen, and especially in this industry things can go wrong, but we will do everything in our power to make sure you get what you ordered.

JUST REMEMBER TO EVERYONE, PROBLEMS ALWAYS HAPPEN, EVERY COMPANY HAS THEM, BUT TRY TO RESOLVE THEM WITH US AS POSTING IN FORUMS DOES NOT REWARD YOU WITH ANYTHING. IF YOU STILL THINK YOU ARE OWED, CONTACT US.

  26. Anyway ED, like I said, I don’t want to get in a battle with you here, and yes we sent this letter to you because we cannot stress enough how hard we have tried to convince you that what we did was not in our power. Think if we were a netresults customer, and we had one thing go wrong, and someone posted bad feedback, but you tried your best, sometimes things go wrong, and I hope you understand that at least we are trying to help, not blizzard.

Please contact our email support if you have any additional questions, thank you

  27. Wow, so many comments from Gamepal today. What I find funny is that the same guy who says that Gamepal and Gamewar are not the same company is answering questions for both sites.

I also think Gamepal needs to check the definition of the word Spam. Spam is not just comments you don’t like.

And I love this part of the last comment, “we cannot stress enough how hard we have tried to convince you that what we did was not in our power”. What does it mean that what you did was not in your power?

And I love how I’m supposed to feel bad for Gamepal now. When I originally asked for a refund after my account was banned I didn’t get a lot of empathy from them.

And as far as being a NetResults client, I doubt Gamepal has the kind of resources to hire me.

Just a reminder to anyone looking at this site, Gamepal got my account banned. They seem to have made a lot of other people unhappy as well.

  28. Ed,

Yes that’s me. We do not own gamewar, it’s owned by an affiliate of ours, we admin it. Check belrion, thsale, markee and other websites, our brands are across 50% of the market, so when you buy from them, you buy from us.

Ed, I am pretty sure we do have the resources to contract to you. Read up on how big RMT markets as

Regardless, this isn’t to feel bad, and your blog is erroring out so we couldn’t post in one big message. Your refund was not sent is a failure on our old cs, as normally we gave refunds on the levels completed as we did not expect blizzard disabling around 5-10% of the accounts we leveled.

By power comment, it means how could we prevent blizzard from disabling your account at that time. If you look at blizzard bbb score, they score a solid F because they are the ones disabling accounts. As I said, I believe I can undisable your account, but you have to seem interested in doing it.

FYI Ed, my name is Blake, I am under Chris who spoke with you.

  29. Sadly, I never have seen reports like this about gamewar.com/gamepal.com, I should have researched about a bit before buying a product.

Anyway I purchased an account from gamewar.com, its the type of account that they create for you and power level it up, they put all the details in your name etc.

I sent the payment using paypal and shorty receive a phone call from gamewar.com to verify my order, at this stage I think this must not be a scam because why would they go though the trouble to do this. Phone operator was friendly and helpful and said everything was confirmed. Paypal also phoned me to see if everything was ok to send them they money, I asked who they are sending it to and they said to gamepal.com… I let them do it because I didnt know this could possibly be a scam.

Days went by and I was thinking about the progress of my order, I contact live help and they say they cant help in anyway with account details, they tell me to email the following account department [email protected], I wait days and no reply… I send another email and wait for 2 days I get a reply which states there is a “system” in the works. (been in the works for 18 days now maybe more)

Its now been 18 days, the order I purchased said 15-30 days, I know I am being impatience posting this now but, I think I know for a fact its a scam. I got the option to name my character and they name it what you want, you need to choose three names for your toon. I have been searching for these names on armory and they don’t even exist yet.

I will post back when they have had 30 days and tell you if anything has started. Mean time I advise you do not order from these websites –
    gamewar.com – oloot.com – gamepal.com

  30. -Gamepal-

Over all I don’t think GamePal is a bad company but has a bad reputation for not paying managers that break thier contracts.

Now the problem isn’t just with Gamepal but the industry as whole.

    1. The industry is not regulated
    2. It’s all done via the interent
    3. It’s all virtual goods
    4. LOTS of $$ can be made
    5. To easy to get into it!

Now with those factors it’s a breading groud for scammers and fraud. I see new sites showing up and closing daily. Since it’s so easy for someone to open a new site and scam a bunch of people then disappear. (Rinse & Repeat)

The sites you need to worry about are the ones that don’t have a history and require alot of research. I watched people run major scams from high volume forum sites. Then keep changing names, emails, etc… and do this for months before the forum admins catch on. Then when they do an investigation they find out the guys done 30 Scams and accounts via the forum.

So the real scammers are not legit business but adults and kids trying to make a quick buck.

Now every RMT company sells the same things and we all try (or atleast I hope so) to make it as safe as possible. Because there are only 2 things that make each company different.

    1. Quality of Customer Service and Services
    2. How low our catch rate is (suspension/closure rates)

Since the virtual goods and services we sell breaks the Games Rules. We first need to make sure our customers know the risks and that what they are about to do can cause them to loose their account. Now after a customer has been educated it’s the companies responsiblity to make it as safe as possible.

Now a company is only as good as the people that work for them. If they hire dishonest people that farm and sell gold while on your account. Then they will get your account closed on a much hire rate. But there are also companies that premote this type of behavior and they are even worst because they are willingly let their staff do this.

GamePal as far as I know does not allow or premote this type of behavior and this is why they stopped using outsourced labor for their powerleveling. This is also why they have a bad reputation for not paying managers. Is because those managers caught breaking their rules were fired and I guess not paid.

    ====

Now “Everyone” in the industry gets suspensions and closures. Even if a company takes every precaution and even uses US/EU gamers vs oversea’s you still get suspensions. When you are breaking the Video Game Companies rules and they find out they will take action.

We all offer the same services but the only thing that seperates us is our Customer Serivce! When a customer has a problem with their order. The last thing they want is a customer support person giving them grief and not helping them resolve the issue.

And if someone gets frustrated enough they will create a blog. 😉

  31. Just wanted to say good for you Ed.

I’m also having a similar problem where I placed an order, for an account, and have yet to receive anything. It’s been a week and I’ve sent multiple e-mails which are rarely responded to, and when they are it’s a ‘we will try to get you the information as soon as we can’. Seems odd that having to send account information is such a difficult and time consuming process.

I’ve asked multiple times to either send the correct information or go ahead and refund me, which they have not done. If they plan to keep brushing me off I will be joining the online fight against this company. I think I have been patient enough and given them more than enough time to resolve such a simple issue. I am trying to give them a fair chance to resolve it, but they do not seem interested at all in providing timely and fair customer service. I guess their plan is to just keep the money.

Well I’ll give it a few more days and then I’ll be submitting to BBB, Rip-Off Report, and starting my own blog. Hopefully they come to their senses and try to work things out.

    I shall keep you updated.

    Good luck,
    Ryan

  32. I have been waiting 30 days for my Gamepal build a account. They wont give me information nor can i see the names of my character names i have chosen in the armory. I will have to agree there is something fishy about this company. I have sent a claim to Paypal.com to get my money back.

  33. MANAGER SUPPORT RESPONSE

Ryan, what is your order number? Check your SPAM folder.

Victum of a scam and or chris, we did not tell you to email [email protected], that isn’t even our email. Please let us know your order number as M4P orders are backed up a little bit and informed by email of this. So I am not sure how you were scammed.

As I said above, we have never intentionally ripped anyone off, and half of these posts are fake or from fired employees.

  34. My order# is 112800. I have checked my spam, nothing there, and I have received responses from ‘Support’ in my inbox before, however no ‘account managers’ tried to resolve my issue. So far the only promising response I’ve had is:
    “Hi there,

I have forwarded your request for a refund to the accounts managers.

    Regards,
    Kristi
    Accounts Team”

I haven’t heard anything since. And I don’t know if I’m just being led on in trying to give me a sense of comfort, but it’s not working. I think a lot of people would be MUCH more comfortable with Gamepal if they actually to the time to give thorough and timely responses to customer complaints.

Again, I am not looking to pick any fights with Gamepal, however, I will not be satisfied until I see the money back, at which point I’ll be more than happy to say ‘Looks like I was wrong about Gamepal’. However, at this rate I don’t know if I can actually say that.

I’ll keep you guys updated to see if they actually try and make amends — and I will be totally honest about how the situation is dealt with, for better or worse.

  35. I will also be posting on this topic and share with others how my order progress is going.

I ordered a made4play account costing a price of $299, this was taking forever for them to start so they suggested to me that they will refund me with “on-site credit” and I can buy a pre-made account. I am happy with this, but it is now taking them forever to give me this on-site credit.

If they do refund me with on-site credit I will be buying a pre-made account, I will post the progress of buying a pre-made account aswell.

    Mark.

  36. Gamepal.com, oloot.com and gamewar.com, I would stay away from them. The service is really bad, they lead you on and nothing else… its been 20 days now since I placed my order and I have NOTHING. They offered to refund me with on-site credit and its now been 3 days and I don’t have it. I wasted $299, I am going to contact my credit card provider and request a chargeback for fraud. I hope it goes my way.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

  37. SUPPORT RESPONSE

Ryan: Check your email. Please decide on what you’d like to do, thanks.

Mark: We informed you twice that a delay would occur on your order. We have a policy once an order starts, we cannot FULLY cancel it, but give you a partial refund on what is done. We offered credit as well in exchange for a better PRE MADE account. Your account is being made as we speak still even after you cancelled it. Either way, you get a win win case, as a pre made account will exceed the M4P amount you ordered, or you get a partial refund on your order. Get back with us via email.

  38. Its strange that you say I can get a partial refund because you have started the order… I choice the server and the three names to call my toon when ordering. I know what my toon will be called and what server it will be on. Now there is armory where you can check up on characters on servers, I have been searching for the three names I used and they dont exist.

I also gladly accepted that a pre-made account, but its been four days since I sent a email saying I would like to accept that pre-made account offer and I have not got a reply, you offered my “on-site credit” and I don’t have that either to buy a pre-made account.

I placed my made4play order on the 4th of september, thats quite a while ago.

I can take my money back anytime, I will contact my bank and report fraud, things should go my way. I do NOT want to do this would be much easier if I got service and what I ordered, I am also posting on this again because you seem to reply to this more than my emails. 🙂

  39. I love that my blog is helping (or least playing a small part) in getting people their money back.

What’s amazing is that Gamewar/Gamepal knows this is being seen by hundreds of people, and they still don’t provide a prompt refund. They instead waste their time arguing here, threating to sue me, and just making themselves look worse.

Thanks for sharing the experience with us Mark. I hope you get your money back.

  40. So another update. They said I could get a refund, I just needed to reply to their mail stating that I did want to receive a refund rather than a credit + bonus. What bothers me is that I asked for a refund several times already and then they sent me that e-mail asking what I wanted to do, AFTER I posted here.

Anyways, I sent another refund request yesterday and I was told it was forwarded again. Hopefully I get the refund shortly. I’ll let you guys know if they work it out.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

  41. Ryan they told me they will not fully refund me… maybe they will give you a refund because you are exposing them on this blog but I didnt want to waste anymore of my time with them. I contacted my bank and reported them for fraud. There is a now request open for a charge back and I will be getting a response from my bank shorty.

I can attempt to prosecute them as well but I don’t know if I should.

    Mark.

  42. Another update.

I have yet to receive my refund. It’s been 3 days now since Gamepal said they would refund me in full. I’m going to give it until Friday, if I receive nothing I guess they plan to not refund my money. I’ll have to start submitting to the BBB, Rip-Off Report, and get Blogging. Unfortunate, but they really need to shape up.
