Chrissy Teigen Debuts Target Housewares Collection

Chrissy Teigen holds many titles such as TV host, model, social media star and cookbook author. Now she is able to add domestic lifestyle influencer to the list as she debuts a cookware collection at Target later this month.

The collection labeled The Cravings, by Chrissy Teigen herself, will feature  “all the essentials that Chrissy uses to prep, cook and serve up her favorite recipes,” according to the company’s statement, which includes a cast iron Dutch oven, serveware, cutlery and glassware. Pricing isn’t ridiculous either; items in the 40-piece collection range in price from $4 to $140 for a whole 12-piece cookware set.

Aside from Target debuting her collection, it will also feature an exclusive edition of “Cravings: Hungry for More,” the follow-up to Teigen’s bestselling cookbook “Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat.” According to CNBC, the exclusive version of “Hungry for More” will be available in Target stores and online Wednesday, Sept. 18, which is also the widespread release date.

A fun fact: Mark Tritton, Target executive vice president and chief of merchandising officer, pointed out that Teigen’s very first modeling job was for a Target catalog. “When we learned she was launching her own kitchen and tabletop line, we both knew it would be right at home at Target,” he said.

Teigen describes her pieces in the housewares collection as “timeless but have character.”

Teigen began using her social media popularity as a way to encourage her followers on Instagram to pre-order “Cravings: Hungry for More” in late June. Later, the star posted that although the cookbook was currently still in the pre-order stage, it already became a bestseller.

Recipes in the new cookbook include Grilled Pork Banh Mi Sandwiches, Butternut & Pomegranate Salad and Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Breakfast Bake. Chrissy noted in a statement that her favorite recipe was corn fritters and hot honey. She also claimed several of her dishes within the cookbook were “Luna approved” by her 2-year-old daughter.
