Las Vegas Pool Builder

When I decided to move to Las Vegas, one of the things I wanted to make sure I had in a house was pool and spa.   I made that one of the primary requirements for house hunting.

That requirement obviously weeded out a lot of homes. Fortunately with the market in such crappy shape, there were plenty of houses for sale.   I did consider buying a house with enough backyard to just add a pool, but with the houses priced so low, and the cost of a Las Vegas pool builder being the same as always, I decided I might as well go ahead and buy a house with a pool.

So now I have a pool, and man what a pain in the ass it can be.   When we were looking at the house, we found that the pool needed to be cleaned t remove some mold from the bottom.   I thought the problem was likely caused from the home sitting vacant and uncared of for so long.   But it appears that there is a bigger problem.

We cleaned the mold, but it keeps coming back.   I purchased special cleaner, and hired a guy.   The guy we hired at first said it wasn’t a problem, he could just treat the water.   But now he thinks we should re-finish the entire bottom of the pool.

He wants to charge $850 for this.   That’s not the end of the world, but I can’t help but feel that if we’re going to mess with resurfacing the bottom of the pool and spa, we should do it well with Pebble tec of something like that.   Maybe even hire a pool builder here in Henderson or Las Vegas to add a beach style entry, or waterfall, or something.
