When the Dutch superyacht shipyard Oceanco delivered its 357-foot superyacht Bravo late last year to its new owners, it received major admiration from a variety of people who report on these beautiful, large private yachts. However, when reports began emerging that the Bravo’s owner was none other than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the media reports definitely became more sensational.

While it’s no surprise the sports and financial media attracted to such a celebrity story, Forbes believes the biggest star is actually the Yacht. Bravo’s original price tag was an estimated price of $250 million, but Jones paid a mere $150 million for “America’s Team” back in 1989.

Published reports indicate that Bravo’s naval architecture and engineering was done by Lateral, meanwhile Nuvolari Lenard did the exterior design, while Reymond Langton Design completed the interior design.

Nuvolari Lenard knew exactly how to create the perfect design, despite Bravo’s imposing size. The company created a magnificent low profile, featuring exquisite proportions, which resemble more of a sport-yacht, rather than a superyacht.

“This new style will certainly create a new design stream,” says Carlo Nuvolari, partner in Nuvolari Lenard.

Jones’ yacht also offers several special features, including a helicopter pad located on both the foredeck and the aft deck, a large tender garage and equipment stowage, which provides plenty of space to store water toys. Think that’s already enough? There is more, including a large spa, equipped with a sauna, steam room, massage room, plunge pool and rain shower. A complete gym is found on the lower deck, in addition to a luxurious beach club.

The interior follows an elegant contemporary design, featuring light maple wood and white pearl lacquer with contrasting accents of walnut and ebony. “We worked very closely with the owner to find the perfect artisans and craftsmen in creating bespoke artworks, fabrics and signature furniture pieces that reflect the owner’s style and essence and combine to create a warm, inviting environment for all on board, “ says Pascale Reymond, partner in Reymond Langton Design.

“Oceanco credits the success of this extraordinary new benchmark yacht to the dedicated team effort of all individuals at Oceanco, Lateral, both design studios, Burgess, and the Owner’s team”, says project director Edske Smit.
