Actress and lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow is joining forces with Crate and Barrel’s CB2 brand for a chic yet reasonably priced furniture and home line that features items from $10 to $2,000. The collaboration with Paltow’s lifestyle brand Goop launched August 30.

CB2 calls the 58-piece line on its website, “a collection of uniquely layered furniture, decor, and accessories made with love and an almost obsessive attention to quality.” CB2 is a millennial-focused brand offering unique furniture at a fraction of the price. Pieces include a pink velvet sofa, a table runner embroidered with exquisite flowers and birds and a firewood tote. According to AD, all pieces are featured in neutral and muted tones. The velvet sectional sofa, inspired by Paltrow’s own New York City apartment, is the line’s most expensive item with a price tag of $5,796.

The collection also includes funky end tables, wood-and-gold stools and a woven indoor swing chair that can be hung from the ceiling. In addition to furniture, Goop lovers can indulge in flatware, kitchen linens, glassware and floral-patterned dinnerware.

“We worked really hard to get the delicate profile just right – you get that wedding-china quality without the hefty price tag, or the guilt of using them everyday,” according to a description from the Goop team regarding a hand-decorated 4-piece plate setting. The most affordable items within the glassware collection are a stainless-steel egg cup, a glass bowl and a selection of drinking glasses, which all go for $9.95 each.

According to Fast Company, “Each piece from the collection is designed to communicate Paltrow’s own aesthetic, which can be surprising and hard to pin down. There are pieces that look like they were picked up from faraway travels, like the chinoiserie rug that could’ve been snagged at a Parisian flea market and a whimsical indoor chair that looks like it belongs in a tropical seaside villa.”

CB2 President Ryan Turf says the collaboration appealed to CB2 for how it reaches younger consumers drawn to “digitally native brands like Goop.” With the new partnership, Turf explained that CB2 will appear on Goop’s website and social media channels, reaching even more millennial eyes.

Paltrow is no stranger to the home decor scene and her new furniture line displays her playful side with a modern vibe and easily approachable price points. Find creations pieced together by Goop X CB2 on cb2.com.
