The Pictish Trail is an Experimental/Folk/Pop group from Cellardyke Anstruther Fife, Scotland who is otherwise known as Johnny. During recordings, Johnny performs solo; during live performances he is accompanied by King Creosote (keys, backing vocals, accordion), Captain Geeko The Dead Aviator (drums), OnTheFly (percussion/drum machines/electronics), Uncle Beesly (bass man), James Yorkston (guitar, backing vocals), and Richard Colburn (bongos).
