Austin, TX — We’ve all lost our temper with our kids and yelled at them, maybe even called them names. However, 24 year-old Aurelia Gallardo went way over the line. On October 31, 2008, Aurelia and her three children were waiting for a bus in Austin, when she lost her temper with her 4 year-old daughter. In front of everyone, Aurelia picked her daughter up by the arm so hard an eyewitness thought she was going to dislocate her daughter’s arm. She then threw her into the street in front of a Suburban. Luckily the driver was able to stop in time. Then, Aurelia pulled her daughter out of the street by the hair and threw her into a parked car. The whole time she was throwing her daughter around, Aurelia was yelling at her and calling her names.
When the bus arrived, Aurelia and her children got on the bus while a witness called 911. According to the bus driver, while on the bus, Aurelia continued verbally abusing her daughter, calling her every 4-letter name in the book. The police stopped the bus in transit, and arrested Aurelia on a felony charge of child endangerment. She is being held on a $25,000 bond. Her children were taken into custody by CPS. Poor child, if her mom did this to her in full view of everyone, what did she do behind closed doors?
