It appears that more and more luxury designers are targeting China and Japan for their luxury launches. It seems as though designers are catching on to the fact that China has more affluent citizens than the U.S. Luxury watch manufacturer, Piaget, is specifically targeting China with the launch of their newest luxury watch campaign.
The new collection of watches with celebrate the year of the Dragon and Phoenix with limited edition time pieces that will include over 20 models for both men and women. The Phoenix and the Dragon are traditional representations of the Chinese years. And both are common symbols often associated with the Chinese culture. They are easy to recognize and have great meaning to some. A few of the new luxury timepiece models include the Piaget Emperador XL, Piaget Altiplano and the Limelight Twice.
The Piaget Emperador XL is only going to be made available in 8 pieces. The timepiece will feature an 18K pink gold case that is hand engraved with a dragon design and set with 257 brilliant cut diamonds. The luxury timepiece will have a grey alligator leather strap.
The Piaget Altiplano will have two cases on one watch. The uppercase will be covered in 381 brilliant-cut diamonds along with an astonishing 60 baguette-cut diamonds. The lower case comes with 355 brilliant-cut diamonds, hand engraving on the back and 18K white gold phoenix design. This timepiece will also be limited to a release of just 8 watches. This watch is has a white alligator leather strap.
If you thought those first two were beautiful take a look at The Limelight Twice. The watch is double-sided. One side consists of 18K white gold and a sunburst motif created out of 226 brilliant-cut diamonds. The flipside of the watch is also 18K white gold and has 52 brilliant-cut diamonds around the face. The strap is a reversible black and white strap.
