Melissa Auf der Maur is from Montréal, Québec, and her music focuses on the Celtic / Rock genre. Auf der Maur was a former member of Smashing Pumpkins as well as Hole in the 1990s, but she began her music career as a bassist for Tinker, among other local bands. She released an album in 2004 entitled Auf der Maur.
