Darrell Lance Culverhouse of Shreveport, LA has had a criminal record involving indecent exposure, obscenity and also indecent behavior involving a child. All charges brought against him in the past involved children. Culverhouse is 46, and has been recently charged with a similar, yet more horrific, crime.
Culverhouse was at a friend’s home on December 5th. The friend was watching his 3-year-old grandson at the time of the visit. During the course of his visit, Culverhouse proceeded to rape the 3-year-old child in the home. The child subsequently reported the attack to both his uncle and to his mother. Both adults then reported the rape to the police, who came to arrest Culverhouse.
Culverhouse was confronted by the police, and admitted to the assault on the young boy. He was taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and held there on aggravated rape of a child charges. His bond is pending.
In Louisiana, those charged with the crime of aggravated rape on a juvenile under the age of 13 can be given a maximum life sentence in prison. If Darrell Lance Culverhouse is found guilty of that charge, he may very well spend the rest of his life behind bars.
