This Rhone red is blended using the top Mourvedre Chateau Le Nerthe, Syrah and Grenache grapes in the 2003 growing season. This vintage was allowed to rest in oaken barrels before bottling to allow the flavors and aromas to settle down. The result is largely considered the best offering made by Châteauneuf-du-Pape, an established winemaker in the Rhone valley.
