The Mandalorian began shooting just a few weeks ago, while fans still anxiously await more information regarding the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV Show. The cast is yet to be revealed, making it anyone’s guess as to who will be featured in the show. The only released photo from Jon Favreau’s new Star Wars TV show is a mystery person in a helmet. Who it is? The mystery remains, although, a new rumor emerged – claiming that Rocky and Action Jackson legend Carl Weathers will be joining the cast.
The first season of The Mandalorian will feature 10 episodes, which is exclusively made for Disney+, Disney’s new streaming service. Jon Favreau is the man behind the extension of the Star Wars universe, which Tvweb reports “will take fans to the Outer Rim with a lone gunman who hails from the same home planet as Boba Fett and his father Jango, though no other connection has been confirmed yet.”
Lucasfilm provided Star Wars fans a short outline when it was first announced, in addition to a first look at the title character in his shiny stainless steel armor. As time progresses, more details are slowly being release. The Making Star Wars podcast claims that Carl Weathers will finally make a return after winning over new fans by playing himself in what is arguably some of the funniest episodes of Arrested Development ever made. He also played important role in Chicago Justice.
Whether Carl Weathers will be in the show or not is still a mystery, as well as what character he may even play. Tvweb believes it will not be based on an existing character in the new Disney or the deserted Legends canon. The capacity of his appearances in these first ten episodes, and how substantial his role is remains unknown.
