Murry Hammond is a Folk/Gospel/Minimalist performer from Los Angeles, California. His influences include Old gospel, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Carter Family, choral music, and ambient music, among others. He is a member of Old 97, a group that he has been a part of since the year 1993, along with Rhett Miller, Ken Bethea, and Philip Peeples.
