In Denton Texas there is a former middle school teacher named Lauren Cosgrove who finds herself in a lot of hot water because she cares for her students. According to court records, she cares too much! In 2007 the teacher began an affair with one of her 13 year old students. The parents learned of this affair and went to authorities who got the boy to admit to a sexual affair. Cosgrove was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and she immediately posted a $20,000 bail and was released.
Most teachers would have left well enough alone, but Cosgrove attempted to make contact with the boy via telephone to help guide him about what he should say in court. Once again, the boy’s parents found out and contacted authorities. Cosgrove was arrested for tampering with a witness and immediately posted a $5,000 bond.
You would think that this case would be long gone by now, but on Monday December 1st, Cosgrove again contacted the boy and had him sneak out his window to meet her. The two spent a couple hours together. Upon learning that he had gone off with the teacher, authorities were once again contacted and Cosgrove was arrested and charged with tampering with a witness. She again posted the $5,000 bond.
