The singer and actress best known in pop culture for her role as Catwomen in the Batman television show has died. Ertha Kitt was 81 years old. Dying on Christmas is a little ironic, since her Christmas song “Santa Baby” was certified gold just this past week.
Ertha Kitt died of complication from colon cancer. Her daughter Kitt Shapiro was by her side when she passed.
I remember seeing Ertha Kitt not too long ago on Politically Incorrect, during the Clinton administration. I remember her outrage that Bill Clinton was getting fellatio from interns in what she described as “my house”. I liked that because it was a point that wasn’t being made enough. The White House was not mean to be Bill Clinton’s personal swing pad.
