In Johnstown, Pennsylvania a young girl of just 19 has been arrested. 19 year old Dawn Schrock’s favorite saying was “Drop and give me 20!” and while this may not seem so odd, she was telling her disabled brother this when he would talk back or play his music too loud. It has been uncovered that the girl would make him do pushups and even withhold food as punishment. The brother is six feet five inches tall and at the time of her arrest only weighed in at 118 pounds. Worst of all, it seems that the abuse and neglect carried over to her six month old infant son as well.
A family member called police on November 30 to report their concern and when police arrived at the residence of the 19 year old, they found a home filled with garbage, vomit, dog feces, and more. Flies were buzzing around the baby formula, the child was in a playpen with vomit and feces, and two adult dogs and puppies were starved, having not eaten in five days. The brother was found upstairs bloody and bruised and reportedly he had been locked in a closet before the arrival of the authorities.
Schrock was arrested, as was her 25 year old boyfriend, Christopher Shoopman as he is reported to have beaten the brother as well. Both are being held on $75,000 bond and have been charged with false imprisonment, neglect of a care dependent person, unlawful restraint, criminal conspiracy, and reckless endangerment. In addition, Schrock will be facing child neglect charges for the inadequate care of her child. The baby has been given to his biological father and is said to be in decent condition.
