I try to be accurate in my blogs, but I am not a journalist. Therefore, you should take everything you read here (and most other places on the Web) as statements of opinion, not fact. Since this is a blog, there may be comments on posts. Obviously, I am not responsible for the comments left by others, and they do not necessarily represent my views. I will not remove or edit comments at the request of a reader unless they contain personal confidential information like phone numbers or social security numbers. I will however remove any comments I want at any time. This is, after all, my blog. If you’re looking for fair and balanced, think of FilthyLucre as somewhere between Fox News and CNN.
As you may guess from the name of this site, I’m not above whoring myself out on occasion. There will occasionally be ads (mostly powered by Google) on the site. I may also post a press release about a product. But I will never endorse a product that I have not used and would not honestly recommend. If you read a post saying that I enjoyed a book or movie, you can be sure that I actually did enjoy it.
I often get link requests from people looking to build up their search engine rankings. I will not be posting random links throughout my site. If you would like me to write about your site, you can send me a press release and I’ll consider it. If you have a blog, and you would like to exchange links, link to a post on my site which you enjoyed and I’ll consider doing the same.
I try to use a lot of photography on FilthyLucre. Many of the pictures I take myself. I will occasionally ask permission to use photos through Flickr, and as a last resort I purchase photos through places like Dreamstime. For those reasons, please do not use photos from this site without my permission. If the photo is mine, I will likely give permission.
As for the rest of the site, please follow standard Creative Commons guidelines.
