‘Big Bang Theory’ Star Lists Los Feliz Home for $8.95M

Jim Parsons has listed his mouth dropping Los Feliz home for $8.95 million resulting in him being the latest Hollywood star to say goodbye to his architecturally impressive property. The Twilight star, Robert Patterson, had previously owned the Los Feliz home until 2014 when he sold the place to Parsons.

The Emmy-award winner, Jim Parsons, starred in the hit show ‘Big Bang Theory,’ and also narrates the spinoff show ‘Young Sheldon’. Parsons receives about $1 million dollars per episode, making him one of the highest paying actors in television.

Jim Parsons lives part time between Los Angeles and a place in New York City. While in New York City he stays with his husband Todd Spiewak, who is an art director, in a four unit duplex penthouse. The actor who originally bought the home for $6.375 million back in 2014 for the Spanish Colonial-style villa, is now selling for $8.95 million. The idea to sell makes total sense for Parsons since he mainly stays in New York City.

The architectural home is 1.45 acres with a whopping 4,026 square feet. The two-story home sits on a beautiful hillside and is discreetly hidden behind gates under a stone archway. The build of the homes gives the owner a significant amount of privacy.

As you enter the home, you are immediately greeted by the black-and-white-tiled foyer that opens out into the living room which has activities such as a media room and a card room. The living room can also turn into a screening room which has a projection screen that emerges from the ceiling by one simple push of a button.  Upstairs is where you will find the master suite that has the new era bath and dressing room. There is natural light that surrounds every part of the room. If you follow through a set of three French doors (which you can access from either side of the entrance) you will see a balcony. The first balcony is a bit narrower than the other. The more spacious balcony rests above a beautiful desert plant and denser greenery garden. In the master suite bathroom, A double sink vanity and a copper bathtub rest elegantly on the deep chocolate brown marble floor.

The other bedrooms in the home are located on the main floor labeled as the guest bedroom and another on the second floor which happens to be the same floor as the master suite. This bedroom is also a suite without the balconies. The updated kitchen opens to the outdoor kitchen in the backyard. The backyard includes a dining terrace, koi pond, an outdoor fireplace, a small amphitheater, and a lagoon-style swimming pool.

The Loz Feliz home was originally designed by Stiles O. who was the El Capitan Theater architect in the early 1920s.  The home is known in some architecture circles as the Seyler House and although owners of the home continue to change, the home itself has maintained its glory from its previous times.
